| UPDATED SLADS 2012 YEAR-END AWARD CRITERIA FOR BOTH RECOGNIZED SHOWS AND SCHOOLING SHOWS THE CRITERIA The SLADS Board of Directors has updated the criteria for the 2012 Year End Awards for both the Recognized Shows and Schooling Shows. We have placed more emphasis on the horse and rider working as team. Read the all of the attached document carefully. It is your responsibility to know the rules. If you have questions, we will be glad to answer them. Major highlights of changes to the Year-End Awards for Recognized Shows: 1. We will no longer present Horse Awards. The awards will go out to the Rider and the Horse as a team. You are partners in excellence. 2. Both the rider and the owner of the horse MUST be SLADS members. If you are leasing a horse, you are considered the owner. Major highlights of changes to the Year-End Awards for Schooling Shows: 1. Only the rider must be a member of SLADS in good standing to be eligible for a Schooling Show Year End Award 2. There will be three levels for each award category: Junior/Young Rider, Adult Amateur, and Open 3. The Schooling Show Award is a “Rider” Award. All scores earned by rider at a SLADS Schooling Show, on one or more horses, will be averaged per level for the competition season. 4. Here is the exception to the above rule… “If the rider/horse team is competing at the same level in both the Recognized and Schooling shows, then the same rider/horse team is only eligible for a Recognized Show Year End Award at that level. To qualify for a Schooling Show Year End Award, that rider/horse team must compete at a higher level than the Recognized Show level.” iF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, PLEASE ASK! The e-mail addresses of Board members are located under the tab "About Us". Click "The Board". |
